What sustainability measures does SECULUX take?

As a wholesaler in automation, SECULUX focuses on energy-efficient and sustainable products. Together with our manufacturers, we work on environmentally friendly delivery processes, the use of reusable materials and smart packaging. We strive for maximum product life and minimal impact on the environment.

Who is the main target group for your sustainability policy?

Our primary target group consists of installers, partners, and suppliers in the gate and access automation sector. We also focus on our own employees and the local community. We pursue sustainable business practices together — both within and outside our company.

How does Seculux approach sustainability in concrete terms?

Our approach revolves around zero waste, repair before replacement, and energy efficiency. Some examples:

What does Seculux do with packaging?

We limit the use of plastic and use recycled and biodegradable materials such as cardboard as much as possible.

How does Seculux manage energy consumption?

We implement an energy management plan that includes LED lighting, solar panels and process optimisation to reduce energy consumption.

What does Seculux do in terms of mobility and transport?

We encourage cycling and electric driving, and work together with sustainable transport partners. Within the INITIUM group, we also look for opportunities to combine transport and avoid unnecessary journeys.

How does Seculux deal with waste management?

We have a strict waste and recycling policy in our warehouse. We also actively sort waste during lunch breaks and use compost bins for food waste.

At SECULUX we are the partner in automation for installers, manufacturers and wholesalers in the Benelux. Both offline and online, we offer a wide and durable product range with attractive margins and efficient stock management. At Seculux, we don’t consider sustainability a buzzword, but a fundamental value. It determines how we do business today and how we look to the future. Our participation in the VOKA Charter Duurzaam Ondernemen (VCDO) underlines our commitment to structurally embed sustainability in our business operations.

With this commitment, we are taking concrete steps to integrate environmentally and socially responsible practices into all our business activities. The charter supports our ambition to structurally embed corporate sustainability in our operations – today and in the future.

We are constantly working to reduce our environmental footprint through energy efficiency, waste minimization and circular use of raw materials.

Recovery policy

  • Repair rather than replace defective products whenever possible
  • Selection of products based on repairability (e.g., non-cast components)
  • Support “Right to Repair” (also for B2B)

Investing in knowledge and training

Attention to the growth of each employee through internal training plans, info boards, daily operational meetings… and proper onboarding for new employees.
